Safe Cosmetics is a small, independent site. There is no contact form and no ticketing system — one email address reaches the person who writes and checks the reviews.
Who runs this site
Safe Cosmetics is written and edited by one person, working independently. There is no agency, no sponsor and no parent company behind it. Articles carry the Safe Cosmetics byline because editorial responsibility for all of them sits with that same person, who reads and answers the address above.
How products are assessed
Every Yuka score we publish is read from the Yuka app for that specific product and is shown next to the product it belongs to — we do not estimate scores and we do not average them across a range. The analysis around a score is ours: what an ingredient does, why Yuka flags it, and whether that flag matters in practice, written from published regulatory and scientific sources. Where our reading differs from the score, we say so on the page rather than quietly picking a side.
What gets a reply
- Corrections to a Yuka score, an ingredient list or a safety claim on any page.
- Brand and press enquiries, including a right of reply to anything we have published about a product.
- Commercial and affiliate enquiries.
We read everything. We reply to the categories above; general skincare advice is outside what a website can responsibly give, so we do not answer it individually.
Corrections
If we have a score or an ingredient claim wrong, tell us and we will fix or retract it. The change is made on the page itself and dated, so anyone reading it later can see what changed and when. We do not delete errors silently.
Commercial relationships
Any commercial relationship that affects a page is disclosed on that page, above the article, before you read it. As of 14 August 2026 we are not part of any affiliate programme: the retailer links on this site earn us nothing, and they exist so we can see whether readers want them at all.
